MOTION.TIME V01 RP AUTOMATION INC. 11JAN89

DESCRIPTION

The programs in this file allow the monitoring of the times

that the VAL-II system calculates for every motion. The times

are displayed on the CRT screen in terms of ACCEL, DECEL, and

TOTAL MOTION TIME.

PREPARATION

Load the MOTION.TIME file from the diskette. Assure that no

other PC task is running. This feature uses the PC task.

PROGRAM EXECUTION

Executing the "motion.time" program as a PC task will cause

all motions to be monitored, and the results displayed on the

CRT screen. This is accomplished by typing "PCEX MOTION.TIME"

from the keyboard after the program has been loaded into the

VAL-II memory.

Once started, this program will execute continuously until

the PC program is ABORT'd by typing "PCABORT".

NOTES

If the CP switch is ENABLE'd, then these motion times will be

changed in the VAL-II system for the continuous path effect.

Thus, the actual motion times will not correspond correctly

with the numbers shown on the screen.

MESSAGES

TOTAL TIME = tt.ttt ACCEL = aa.aaa DECEL = dd.ddd

This message gets displayed each time that a new motion gets

calculated by the VAL-II system.

The TOTAL TIME is the time that it would take for the move to

finish if there was no continuous path intervention.

The ACCEL and DECEL times are the times for the acceleration

and the deceleration, respectively, for this motion.
